Brewing Recommendations
- French Press: Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of coarse-ground coffee per 6 ounces of water. For more precision, use a ratio of 1:11 to 1:17 (1g coffee per 11-17g water). Heat water to 195-205°F. Stir gently after adding water, place the plunger lid on top without pressing, and let steep for 4 minutes. Slowly press down to separate grounds from brew.
- Espresso: Use 18-20 grams of finely ground coffee for a double shot. Brew with a ratio between 1:2 and 1:3 for a rich shot or 1:4 for a lungo. Ensure pressure is at 9 bars and brew time is about 25-30 seconds.
- Pour-Over: Use 1 to 2 tablespoons of medium-ground coffee per 6 ounces of water. Or use a 1:16 to 1:18 ratio (1g coffee per 16-18g water) for better precision. Allow coffee to bloom for 30 seconds before continuing the pour.
- Drip Coffee: Use 2 tablespoons of medium-ground coffee per 6 ounces of water as a starting point. Adjust to taste for strength preference.
